Phase II of the Commonwealth Centre is located in the 1,100 acres within the Westfields International Corporate Center three miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and about 25 miles from Washington, D.C.
The $1.36 million contract awarded to Smith-Midland features 39,000 square feet of architectural precast panels. The panels are 6″ thick, steel reinforced, with two brown colors, one with a medium sandblast finish and one with an acid wash finish and white color with a medium sandblast finish.
Phase II of the Commonwealth Centre includes 80,000 square feet of office space as well as 105,000 square feet of retail and two hotels totaling 210,000 square feet. The building is designed to meet the requirements of a LEED certification program.
