Position Summary: Reports to the General Manager (Smith-Columbia) and the VP of Sales and Marketing (Smith-Midland) and works collaboratively with management in the development and execution of sales & marketing strategies for all precast concrete products.
Provisions of this assignment: • Based out of the Hopkins, SC office. • Some overnight travel is required. • The ability to track projects within SALESFORCE is required. • Must be able to work independently to accomplish goals. (Drive, self-discipline.) • Directly responsible for all area/regional sales functions that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for our precast concrete products. • Promote Smith-Columbia's products and services to target end users. • Work with target end users to specify Smith-Columbia products. • Solve customers’ biggest challenges, collaborating closely to find the right solution. • Achieve established sales and margin goals. • Conduct presentations and sales calls before target end users. • Estimate and bid projects. • Follow up on leads; ensure customer satisfaction; manage customer expectations. • Participate in the development, implementation and performance of sales strategies designed to maximize sales and earnings. • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market trends, industry trends, budgets and competitor analysis. • Responsible for continuing education and skills development.
Strategy and Customer Focus Responsibilities: • Identify new and potential customers and strengthen relations with existing client base. • Develop, reinforce and execute local marketing strategies that raise visibility, awareness and interest about our capacity to fulfill expectations. • Oversees the sales plan development and execution. • Keep abreast of latest sales and promotions techniques. • Establishes plan for the introduction of new products and supports with adequate resources. • Keep abreast of products and industry innovations. • Performs sales presentations; work product booth at trade shows; participate in relevant industry organizations such as AGC of the Carolinas.
People Development and Accountability Responsibilities: • Identifies product knowledge gaps and arranges formal and informal training. • Reviews and monitors sales activity for effectiveness
Reporting Responsibilities: • Reports to the General Manager of Smith-Columbia and to the VP of Sales and Marketing for Smith-Midland Corporation. • Maintains clear communication with direct reports, sales organization and executive staff, and communicate regularly with other departments (engineering, production, delivery) as needed.
Job Type: Full-time, Commission Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00/year plus Commission Vehicle allowance provided.
