Smith-Midland Board Advisor William Clayton honored by PCI

The Mario J. Bertolini Leadership & Innovation award was established by PCI to honor renowned engineer Mario Bertolini who passed away in 2014. The award recognizes individuals who, while in senior management positions of PCI Producer Member firms, consistently exhibited the personal and professional traits exemplified by Mr. Bertolini.

The recipient of the 2020 Mario J. Bertolini Award is Smith-Midland Corporation Board Advisor, William Clayton.

We are proud to have “Bill” serve as an advisor to our board providing invaluable knowledge and support. We can’t think of a more deserving individual to receive this accolade. Congratulations from all of us in the Smith-Midland family.

Bill Clayton has been an Advisor to Smith-Midland Corporation (DE) since 2006. He has 40+ years of experience in construction related industries, both public and privately owned, first in the cement, block, and ready-mix industries, followed by 36 years with High Concrete Structures, Inc., (originally Kurtz Precast Corp.) At High Concrete, he served in the positions of Production Manager, Vice President of Production, Executive Vice President, and ultimately 27 years as President of the organization.
