SMC Announces Financial Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2016

MIDLAND, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Smith-Midland Corporation (OTCQX: SMID) announced that the Company reported total revenue of $40 million for 2016 compared to $29.2 million for 2015, an increase of $10.8 million, or 37%. The Company reported pre-tax income of $4.3 million for 2016 compared to pre-tax income of $1.6 million for 2015, an increase of $2.7 million. The Company reported net income of $2.8 million in 2016, compared to net income of $1.1 million in 2015, an increase of $1.7 million. The basic and diluted income per share was $0.57 and $0.56 for 2016, respectively, while the basic and diluted income per share was $0.21 for 2015.

The Company reported fourth quarter revenues of $10 million for 2016 compared to $7.7 million for 2015, an increase of $2.3 million, or 29%. The pre-tax income for the fourth quarter of 2016 was $1,167,000 compared to pre-tax income of $305,000 in 2015, an increase of $862,000. The Company had net income for the fourth quarter of 2016 in the amount of $815,000 compared to net income of $251,000 in 2015, an increase of $564,000.
