Smith-Columbia project update: In two separate contracts the Smith-Columbia plant has agreed to manufacture nearly a half million square feet of precast concrete sound wall panels and fifty thousand linear feet of precast concrete posts.
Blythe Construction contracted Smith-Columbia to work on the I-85 Design-Build project in Rowan & Cabarrus Counties in NC. Dragados USA awarded Smith-Columbia the Eastern section of the Winston-Salem, NC Northern Beltway project from US-158 to I-40. Each project will be finished using form liners to simulate a natural Ashlar Stone wall.
“These two projects mark a continuation of the strong response from customers we’ve seen since we opened in the plant in mid-2016,” said Bobby Rochester, Smith-Columbia’s General Manager, “Our team is excited about ramping up our production and adding to our product offerings to meet their needs.”
