MIDLAND, Va. –

ABC Chapter Safety Awards – Recognizing Safety Performance

The ABC Chapter Safety Awards recognize companies for their meritorious safety performance in a given year. The award winners are determined using safety factor calculations that incorporate data from Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) reports. Awards are presented by company size (determined by man hours worked during the reporting year) in three classifications.

The 2012 Chapter Safety Awards, along with the 2012 STEP awards (see below), were presented at a special luncheon held on April 26, 2012, at Mulligan’s restaurant at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland.

Construction Management Classification

• B. Frank Joy, LLC (320,000 to 499,999 man hours)

Supplier Classification

• Smith-Midland Corporation (320,000 to 499,999 man hours)

General Contractor Classification

• Foulger-Pratt Contracting, LLC (160,000 to 319,999 man hours)
• Grunley Construction Company, Inc. (500,000 to 999,999 man hours)
• HITT Contracting Inc. (1,000,000 or more man hours)

Specialty Contractor Classification

• Millstone Corporation (0 to 39,999 man hours)
• Millstone Enterprises, Inc. (0 to 39,999 man hours)
• Canyon Contracting, Inc. (80,000 to 159,999 man hours)
• Anchor Construction Corporation (500,000 to 999,999 man hours)
