Midland, Va. – Officials at Smith-Midland Corporation announce the reintroduction of Concrete Safety Systems, a division of the company which specializes in the rental of precast concrete safety barrier with the J-J Hooks connection system.
Concrete Safety Systems will now be able to offer customers additional services at lower cost, according to its general manager, John Sieber. “Customers can use our full-service company to assist them in a variety of ways, from delivery to set up to barrier removal,” he says. “The advantages of renting barrier include not having to maintain extensive storage space, and not having to invest large amounts of money in barrier inventory.
Sieber says anyone who needs to control traffic or pedestrians can benefit from barrier rental, including highway, bridge or construction contractors working on street projects for states, towns, cities, counties or departments of public works. Additionally, barriers can be used to secure an area from vehicles or people.
The J-J Hooks barrier connection system has been crash tested to National Cooperative Highway Research Program 350 standards. Self-aligning, identical ended J-J Hook connectors allow for quick, easy installation of the barrier. There is no loose hardware, permitting a single section to be easily removed without disturbing adjacent sections and eliminating the possibility of lost, stolen or damaged parts.
