Smith-Columbia Awarded Highway Sound Wall Contracts Worth $6 Million
In two separate contracts the Smith-Columbia plant agreed to manufacture a half-million square feet of precast concrete sound wall panels and 50,000 linear feet of precast concrete posts.
Blythe Construction contracted Smith-Columbia to work on the I-85 Design-Build project in Rowan & Cabarrus Counties in NC. Dragados USA awarded Smith-Columbia the Eastern section of the Winston-Salem, NC Northern Beltway project from US-158 to I-40. Each project will be finished using form liners to simulate a natural Ashlar Stone wall.
