Smith-Midland Supplies Defense General Supply Center with Concrete Barrier Planters

MIDLAND, Va. – Smith-Midland Corporation (OTC BB, Boston Stock Exchange: SMID, SMID) supplied the Defense General Supply Center, in Richmond, VA with architectural concrete barrier and planters.

Over a four-month period, Smith-Midland Corp manufactured 250 concrete barrier planters. As the planters were completed, loads were shipped to Defense Supply. The concrete barrier planters were designed with the Easi-Brick finish and faux granite architectural caps, making them visually attractive. Defense Supply stores most of the barrier and planters onsite, some were sent to agency customers and a few were used permanently at the Defense Supply facility.

Defense Supply has been receiving requests for products that can enhance safety, security and are also visually appealing. According to Wayne Smith, Territory Manager of the Building Sales Division at Smith-Midland Corp., Defense Supply chose Smith-Midland because no one else was able to design, produce and deliver the barrier and planters in a reasonable time.

Smith-Midland has engineered and provided a variety of perimeter security systems for use at The White House, the World Bank, the State Department, the United States Capitol building, and every branch of the armed services involving the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.
